Michael Powell, CISSP, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information security and IT support. Michael began their career at HENSEL PHELPS as an IT Support specialist in 2000 and later moved to Century Interactive as a Systems Administrator and Application Developer, where they were responsible for maintaining servers, firewalls, and mail systems. In 2003, they became the Owner of Threshold Innovations Inc, where they handled business development and financial management. Michael then joined Richmond American Homes as an IT Contractor in 2009. Currently, they are working as an Information Security Specialist at Jordan Foster Construction LLC, where they utilize forensic techniques for troubleshooting and incident response, while also maintaining an encrypted wireless solution. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a strong understanding of IT systems and security, as well as the ability to develop partnerships and manage budgets.

Michael Powell, CISSP, attended South Grand Prairie High School from an unknown start year to 1991, where they obtained a High School degree. In 1999, they obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA. In 2012, they attended Global Knowledge and obtained a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH V7) certification. Later, in October 2016, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Additionally, they also earned the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification from GIAC in November 2015 and the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in June 2016.
