Stephanie Smith is a physician assistant at the Jordan-Young Institute. Stephanie previously worked as a clinical health psychologist at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center from March 2020 to October 2020, providing individual outpatient and inpatient health and behavior assessments and interventions for patients with a variety of medical and psychological problems. Stephanie also worked as a senior DSM operations manager & science writer at the American Psychiatric Association from July 2017 to March 2020, where they managed activities associated with the daily operations of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), including: development and maintenance of the revision process; engagement of seven expert panels; creation of responses to internal and external stakeholder inquiries; and collaboration with the publishing team to implement content revisions and the communications team to develop DSM-related website content, promote public comment periods, and coordinate responses to media requests.
Stephanie Smith has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida, an M.S. in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in Psychology from Towson University.
