Tanya Vavouri

Tanya Vavouri is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in the field of computational biology. Currently serving as a Group Leader at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute since June 2015, Vavouri previously held the position of Junior Group Leader at IMPPC from January 2011 to June 2015. Early career roles include PostDoctoral Fellow at the Center for Genomic Regulation from April 2007 to December 2010, and PhD student at the Vertebrate Genomics Group, Medical Research Council from 2001 to 2007. Vavouri also gained experience as a Bioinformatics Specialist during an internship at EiRx Therapeutics, Ltd in 2001. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge, an MSc from the University of Manchester, and a BSc from Bangor University.
