Stephen Riding

Stephen Riding is an accomplished professional in the housing sector with extensive experience in development and project management. Currently serving as Head of Development at Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust since February 2025, Riding previously held multiple roles at Karbon Homes, including New Homes Technical Lead and Head of Construction, from April 2017 to February 2025. Prior to that, Riding was Development and Regeneration Manager at Cestria Community Housing Association Limited, contributing to growth strategies and overseeing development programs from April 2014 to April 2017. Additional experience includes positions at Cestria Community Housing as Project Manager and at Four Housing Group as Head of Property Services. A graduate of Northumbria University with a BSc (Hon) in Building Surveying, Riding’s educational background also includes an OND in Construction from City of Sunderland College.
