Mohamed Ashraf Elmasry

Vitreo-retinal & Diabetic Eye Disease at Joslin Diabetes Center, Inc.

Mohamed Ashraf Elmasry is an accomplished instructor at Harvard Medical School since July 2021 and currently serves as the director of the Alexandria iCare Retina Reading Center, the first certified reading center in Egypt in collaboration with the Joslin Diabetes Center's Beetham Eye Institute. Mohamed's expertise in vitreo-retinal and diabetic eye disease has been honed through significant roles at the Joslin Diabetes Center, where Mohamed Ashraf was previously the chief retina fellow from July 2017 to June 2020, as well as through experiences at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Northwestern University. Mohamed holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Alexandria University, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from Alexandria University.
