Matti Tarjo

Matti Tarjo has a diverse work experience in the packaging industry. Matti currently holds the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Jospak Oy since February 2022. Previously, Tarjo worked at Eltete TPM Group from December 2016 to February 2022, where they held various roles including Sales Director, Sales Director for Finland, and Sales Manager. Eltete TPM Group specializes in carton-based packaging solutions, and Tarjo was responsible for engaging with customers and discussing their packaging challenges.

Before that, Tarjo worked as a Packaging Technologist at Oy Gustav Paulig Ab from September 2013 to March 2016. In this role, they collaborated with sales and marketing teams to develop new packaging solutions for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.

In their earlier career, Tarjo served as a Development Engineer in Packaging Materials at Tetra Pak from August 2011 to August 2013. Matti was involved in testing recently developed packaging materials and ensuring their compatibility with packaging machines.

Prior to that, Tarjo worked as a Sales Engineer (consultant) for Paper/Board Coatings at Michelman from October 2009 to August 2011. Their responsibilities included developing new sales in the Nordic area and convincing customers to use barrier coatings and primers for paper and board surfaces.

Tarjo also served as a Product Manager at IMCD from December 2006 to June 2009, where they sold chemicals to various industries including paper and board, water treatment, lubricant, construction, and chemical industries.

Matti began their career as a Research Engineer at Metso Paper in June 2005, initially joining as a summer trainee and later continuing to work on their Master's thesis on the effect of fines on the paper-making process.

Overall, Matti Tarjo possesses extensive experience in sales, marketing, and development of packaging solutions in the paper and board industry.

From 2000 to 2006, Matti Tarjo attended Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and earned a M.Sc. Engineer degree. Matti studied paper technology and economics during this period.
