Amitha Domalpally

Amitha Domalpally is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, holding this position since July 2024. Domalpally is also an active member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) since May 2023, and serves as the Director of the A-EYE Research Unit in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, a role initiated in June 2021. Additionally, Domalpally has been the Research Director at the University of Wisconsin-Fundus Photograph Reading Center since April 2006 and previously worked as a Senior Scientist at the same institution until January 2021. Earlier academic experience includes a lecturer position at Christian Medical College and Hospital from June 2003 to April 2004. Domalpally's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Investigation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2012-2017) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the Ophthalmology Residency Program from Christian Medical College, Vellore (1998-2003).
