Brian Katz currently serves as the Director of Development at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) since July 2023. Previously, Brian held the position of Associate Director for Development and Individual Giving at the HealthWell Foundation from March 2020 to June 2023. Brian's earlier roles include Development Officer at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless from November 2014 to January 2020 and Director of Marketing and Promotions at ESPN Denver from March 2013 to April 2014. (ARVO) was founded in 1928 in Washington, D.C. by 73 ophthalmologists. ARVO was originally named the Association for Research in Ophthalmology (ARO), but the word "vision"​ was added in 1970 to better reflect the scientific profile of its members.
