Charles Valentine

Charles Valentine has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Charles is currently serving as the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at Journey Health & Lifestyle since 2021. In 2020, they worked as an Advisor for MemoryWell.

From 2017 to 2021, Charles worked as a Strategy Consultant for independent clients, providing services in marketing strategy, CRM, data and analytics, innovation, hiring, and technology infrastructure development. Charles'sclients included well-known brands such as Boll & Branch, Shinola, Vince, Wink Beds, and Gamestop.

In 2019, Charles co-founded Trib Group, LLC, which developed a private app for families to share their family history. The company was later acquired by MemoryWell in 2020.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, from 2014 to 2017, Charles co-founded Lumiary, a SaaS CRM and customer analytics platform for direct-to-consumer brands. Lumiary served hundreds of mid-market brands with technology tools.

From 2011 to 2014, Charles worked as a co-founder and strategy consultant at Eastight Ventures, serving large organizations on sustainability projects and advising billion-dollar investment firms on sustainability investments. Clients included well-known companies like Boeing, SunTrust Bank, Merck, and Johns Hopkins University.

From 2005 to 2011, Charles held the position of Vice President, Global Corporate Strategy and Development at Discovery Communications. During their tenure, they led the 5-year strategic planning process for the company and played a key role in the creation of the Oprah Winfrey Network joint venture. Charles also managed strategy and multichannel partnerships for the Travel Channel.

Charles began their career as an Investment Analyst at Northsound Capital from 2001 to 2005. Charles previously worked as an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley from 1997 to 2000, focusing on corporate finance, M&A, restructurings, and joint ventures for US and international clients.

Charles Valentine received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in International Relations at the University of Virginia.
