Amanda Gilbert has been involved in the meditation industry since 2014. Amanda began their career as a Collaborator, Director, and Executive Director at UCSF. In 2016, they became a Founder of Amanda Gilbert Meditation, a Curriculum Developer & Meditation Teacher at Journey Meditation, and a Meditation Teacher at The DEN Meditation and Wanderlust Hollywood. In 2017, they joined University of Southern California as a Professor, Curriculum Developer & Meditation Teacher, and a Meditation Teacher at Unplug Meditation. Amanda also became a Meditation Teacher & Curriculum Development at Evenflow.io. In 2019, they became a Meditation Specialist at Elevate Labs.

Amanda Gilbert obtained their BA in Sustainable Community Development from Prescott College in 2006. In 2014, they completed a course in Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2017, they obtained a Mindfulness Theory degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Certification in Mindfulness Facilitation from the University of California, Los Angeles in December 2017, Certified Meditation Teacher from the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in June 2016, Qualified Mindfulness-based Eating Awareness Instructor from Dr. Jean Kristeller, Center for Mindful Eating in June 2016, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8 Week Module from UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.
