Ivan Guerrero Roman

Ivan Guerrero Roman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ivan began their career as an Application Developer at Celanese in 2008 before transitioning into the role of Research Assistant Professor at Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, Cuajimalpa in 2016. At the university, Ivan focused on teaching programming skills and conducting research in computational creativity.

In 2017, Ivan joined Clever Academy México as a Technical Leader before becoming self-employed in 2015 as a Software Developer. During their time as a self-employed professional, Ivan developed web applications for startup registration and evaluation, as well as video management and budgeting.

In 2020, Ivan joined Scientive as a Tech Leader, where they worked as a software architect and developed various applications, including a web application for managing plots and videos, an application for assessing startup projects, and a web application for reducing the generation time of specialized newspapers and news analysis.

Ivan continued their software engineering career at Color in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer before moving on to their current role as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Journey in 2023.

Ivan Guerrero Roman has an extensive education history in the field of computer science. Ivan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, which they completed between 2011 and 2018. Prior to this, Ivan obtained a Master's Degree in Computational Theory from the same university, studying from 2003 to 2005.

Before joining the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Ivan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from ITESM-CCM, a prestigious institution, from 1999 to 2003.

In addition to their academic degrees, Ivan has also obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they completed the course "DAT236x: Deep Learning Explained" offered by edX. Ivan also holds certifications in English proficiency from The TOEFL® test, achieving this certification in October 2019. Furthermore, they possess advanced proficiency certifications in English and French from Duolingo, earned in November 2015 and September 2015, respectively. Lastly, Ivan has recently obtained an IELTS certification from IELTS Official in March 2022.
