Tonya Tripp Johnson has a diverse work experience. Tonya started their career in 1999 as an Elementary School Teacher with Nebo School District and taught until 2005. Alongside their teaching career, they also worked as a Cost Accountant at Valley Mental Health from 2002 to 2003. In 2005, they joined Brigham Young University where they held various roles including Research Assistant, Instructional Designer, and Adjunct Instructor until 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Tonya worked at Imagine Learning as an Instructional Design Manager and then as a Senior Instructional Designer. Tonya then returned to Brigham Young University in 2015 as a Senior Instructional Designer until 2017. Currently, they are working as the Director of Curriculum at Alegra Learning since September 2017.
Tonya Tripp Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education at Brigham Young University from 1995 to 2000. Tonya then pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Non-Profit Emphasis from 2001 to 2003 at the same university. Later, they undertook further education at Brigham Young University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Instructional Psychology and Technology from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, from 2005 to 2009, Tonya Tripp Johnson also attained a Master's degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology, again at Brigham Young University.
