Michael Valitsky has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Michael started their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2006 and worked there until 2014. In 2010, they also worked as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist at Hadassa Medical centers. In addition, Michael worked at CorAssist Cardiovascular Ltd. from 2010 to 2014, where they were involved in in-vivo research and the monitoring, treatment, and maintenance of model animals.
From 2010 to 2019, Michael worked at Physiological Models as an In-vivo modeling and pre-clinical research expert. Michael then joined BrainLabs, National knowledge centre for research of brain diseases, as a Principal Scientist, where they focused on developing novel neurogenerative and neuroprotective treatments.
In 2019, Michael became a Pre Clinical Project Manager at OSSIO, Ltd. where they were responsible for the pre-clinical development of novel biodegradable orthopedic implants. Michael played a key role in planning and executing studies, managing the full scope of study activities, timelines, and budget.
From 2021 to 2023, Michael worked at Clexio Biosciences as a Research & Innovation Scientist. In this role, they were involved in scientific assessment and sourcing of new asset and partnership opportunities in the CNS therapeutic area, with a focus on evaluating and executing growth opportunities for new products.
Currently, Michael is working at Joy Ventures as a Research Analyst starting from 2023.
Michael Valitsky completed their Bachelor's Degree in B.Med.Lab.Sc. from the School for Medical Laboratory Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Neurobiology from The Hebrew University, which they completed in 2008. Michael then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Drug Research from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, concluding their studies in 2015.
