Wajid Syed has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Wajid started their career in 1993 as a Divisional Engineer at Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, where they worked on network development, operations, and maintenance. Wajid then joined the National Telecommunication Corporation in 1999 as a Director Technical and Acting Chief Engineer, overseeing various responsibilities such as network planning, operations management, and regulatory affairs. In 2006, Wajid Syed joined China Mobile Pakistan as the Director of Network Planning and Strategy, where they successfully planned and implemented a subscriber capacity GSM core and access network. Wajid also played a crucial role in the rollout of the core network for CMPak and the implementation of a high-speed SDH/DWDM network. Wajid Syed further advanced their career by working as the CTO at Warid Telecom in 2008 and as the Regional CTO South at China Mobile Pakistan from 2009 to 2011. Wajid then joined CMPak (Zong) in 2013 as the Executive Director of Operations and Maintenance, where they significantly improved network performance and implemented innovative solutions for cost optimization. In 2014, Wajid Syed joined Mobilink as the Director of Operations, leading network rollout and management of 2G and 3G sites. Finally, in 2016, they founded Joyn Group and served as the CEO until the present, demonstrating their entrepreneurial skills and leadership abilities.

Wajid Syed's education history includes completing a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, which took place from 1986 to 1990. Later on, from 2007 to 2009, Wajid Syed pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from Preston University.
