Jan Malec is a scientific researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute, specializing in nuclear data uncertainty analysis since February 2019. Prior to this role, Jan served as a consultant at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), focusing on nuclear data covariance analysis. Jan has extensive experience in project management and software development, gained while working at Cosylab from December 2013 to August 2018, where responsibilities included managing accelerator control system projects and mentoring staff. Earlier experiences include a position as a student researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute, contributing to the development of a real-time simulation code for a Triga-type reactor. Jan holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics, along with several other degrees in Physics and Business Administration.
