Arup Nanda

Arup Nanda is a seasoned professional in data architecture and engineering with extensive experience across various high-profile companies, currently serving as Managing Director and Firmwide Chief Data Architect at JPMorgan Chase & Co. since January 2021, where responsibilities include leading data engineering and AI/ML strategy. Previously, Nanda held significant roles at Capital One as Divisional Chief Architect for Data Ecosystem and Machine Learning, and at Priceline as Vice President and Chief Data Officer. With a strong foundation in database systems established during a long tenure at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Nanda contributed to IT strategy and team development while overseeing global database operations. Academically, Nanda holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Sambalpur University and dual MBAs in MIS and Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur and Systems and Finance from Xavier Institute of Management. Additionally, Nanda is a member of the Board of Advisors at The State University of New York, participating in initiatives to enhance industry-academia collaboration in data and analytics education.
