Joe Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Joe currently holds the position of Vice President of Global Supply Chain at JPW Industries. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Procurement & Logistics at Gränges Americas Inc., overseeing significant purchasing spend and strategic restructuring. Joe also worked as the Vice President Supply Chain/Operations at Wellman Engineering Resins, managing revenue, P&L responsibility, and overseeing multiple manufacturing plants. Joe has also held leadership roles at Schneider Electric, where they directed procurement and managed global supply chains. Earlier in their career, they worked at Duferco Steel Processing and McDonald Steel Corporation, gaining experience in production planning, customer service, and quality control. Additionally, Joe served in the United States Air Force, specializing in transportation, logistics, and fleet management.
Joe Smith earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Youngstown State University in 1995-1999. Joe then obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Engineering from the same university in 1999-2001. Later, Joe pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management at Youngstown State University from 2003-2005. In 2012, they participated in the Schneider Electric Leadership Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Joe also received a certification as an IATF 16949 Internal process auditor from WHITTINGTON & ASSOCIATES LLC in 2018.
