Tom Moneypenny

Tom Moneypenny is an experienced welding engineer with a career spanning over 15 years in the engineering field. Currently, Tom serves as the Manager of Weld Engineering at JR Automation since June 2019. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Welding Engineering Coordinator at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing from August 2012 to June 2019, where supervision of a small team of engineers and technicians was a key responsibility. Tom's earlier experience includes serving as a Sr. Weld Engineer at Preco Inc. from June 2008 to August 2012, focusing on laser weld qualification and project management, among other technical duties. Tom began the career as a Weld Engineer Intern at K&M Machine - Fabricating, Inc. in 2007, gaining foundational skills in weld tooling design and robot programming. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Welding Engineering from Ferris State University and an Associate of Science degree in Welding Engineering Technology from Delta College.
