Qiniso Mthembu has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. They currently hold the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at JSE since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Enterprise Risk Manager at JSE from March 2020 to May 2022.

Before joining JSE, Qiniso Mthembu worked at Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) from 2014 to 2020. In their various roles at MEGA, they served as the Chief Risk Officer, Acting General Manager: Corporate Services, Manager: Enterprise-wide Risk Management, and Manager Operations. In the role of Manager Operations, they provided strategic management support and ensured effective and efficient organizational processes.

From 2011 to 2013, Qiniso Mthembu worked at Cummins Africa Middle East as a Distribution Development Analyst, Power Generation BU. They were responsible for managing the Africa channel and providing support to the distribution network.

Prior to this, they worked at HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) from 2007 to 2011 as a Council Secretariat, providing company secretary support to the Council and serving as the Secretariat for the Association of Medical Councils of Africa.

They also gained experience at Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Executive Assistant to the Registrar/CEO from 2005 to 2011, and at KZN Department of Transport as an Executive Assistant to the Regional Director from 2001 to 2005.

Furthermore, Qiniso Mthembu worked at uLwazi Consulting Associates as an Office Administrator from 2000 to 2001 and at Working World Business College as a Tutor in 1998-1999.
