Tabeth Mutevhe

Tabeth Mutevhe has extensive work experience in the field of risk management. Tabeth currently holds the position of Head of Enterprise Risk Management at JSE since 2023. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Business Risk Manager at Old Mutual Insure.

Their earlier career includes various roles at Mutual & Federal, where they served as Manager of Enterprise Risk & Governance from 2016 to 2018, and as Manager of Operational Risk from 2012 to 2016.

Before joining Mutual & Federal, they worked as a Risk Manager at Zurich Insurance South Africa from 2007 to 2012, conducting detailed risk assessments and analyzing market trends.

Their career began at Execellence Insurance Company in 2006, where they worked as a Risk Underwriter. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Claims Analyst at Excellence Insurance Company (Pvt) Ltd in 2005 and as a Trainee Risk Manager at Zimnat Lion in 2003.

Tabeth Mutevhe has a diverse education history. In 2001, they attended the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Risk Management. From 2008 to 2009, Tabeth pursued a Programme in Business Continuity Management (NQF 5) at UNISA. In 2010 to 2011, they enrolled in the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and earned a Certified Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) degree in Business Continuity Management. In 2012, Tabeth attended UNISA again and studied Fundamentals of Banking & Risk Management. The following year, they acquired a Certification in Risk Management in Financial Services from The Institute of Risk Management UK (IRM). In 2018, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in General Management at the GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and concurrently pursued a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategy, Leadership, and Business Management, which they completed in 2019. Additionally, in 2015, Tabeth obtained a certification in Risk Management in Financial Services from the Institute of Risk Management.
