Vuyo Mashiqa

Vuyo Mashiqa currently serves as the Head of Equities and Equity Derivatives at JSE, a position held since July 2020, and previously worked as a Manager in the same department. Prior to joining JSE, Vuyo spent nearly a decade at Absa Group as an Equity Derivatives Trader, specializing in index, single stocks, and exotics volatility trading. Vuyo also held positions at Barclays Africa Treasury, including Vice President and Assistant Vice President, and started a career as an Analyst at Standard Bank. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Goldsmiths, University of London, a Master's degree in Finance and Investment from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BSc Honours in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand.
