Director Of RPE Research And Development at JSP Safety

Simon Harrison has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Simon began their career as a Research and Development Engineer at Solid State Logic in 1986. Simon then joined Oxford Digital Ltd. in 1988, where they worked on cutting-edge digital audio mixing technology. The company was later acquired by Sony, leading to Harrison's role as a Principal Engineer at Sony Oxford.

In 2000, Harrison joined Klark Teknik Group as the Director of Signal Processing. Simon brought a consistent brand strategy to the company and was responsible for the research and development of both analogue and digital signal processing products for live sound.

Harrison then served as the Research and Development Director at Midas and Klark Teknik, leading the transformation of Midas into a digital console market leader. Simon successfully launched the XL8 and Pro6 consoles, establishing the company as a technology leader.

From 2010 to 2015, Harrison held General Manager roles at IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC, where they played a key role in turning the loss-making Trend Communications business into the profitable IDEAL Networks business. Simon oversaw the replacement of the entire product portfolio and targeted a new market segment for Enterprise data networks.

Most recently, Harrison worked at Softing Singapore Pte Ltd as the General Manager from 2015 to 2023, with full P&L responsibility for R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing in the Asia/Pacific region. Simon specialized in hand-held test and measurement instruments for structured cabling certification.

In 2023, Harrison joined JSP Safety as the Director of RPE Research and Development.

Simon Harrison attended the University of Surrey from 1982 to 1986 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
