Katsuomi Ichikawa, PhD, EMBA has diverse work experience spanning over a decade in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Their most recent role is with JSR Life Sciences, where they serve as the Head of Corporate Planning & Strategy for the Medical & Biological Laboratories division since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AstraZeneca as the Director of Science Enablement from April 2020 to December 2020 and as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology & Drug Safety and Metabolism from May 2016 to March 2020.

Before joining AstraZeneca, they held the position of Visiting Professor at Kobe University from April 2011 to March 2017. Katsuomi also worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as the Senior Director/Director of Translational Research, R&D from July 2014 to May 2016 and at Asahi Kasei Pharma as the Head of Pharmacology from June 2014 to June 2015. Additionally, they have significant experience at Pfizer, where they held roles including Director/Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology from October 2007 to May 2014 and Senior Director of Discovery Biology from December 2005 to September 2007.
