Allison Maryan Wood is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Hive Assistant Director at The Aloha Foundation since January 2024. Since February 2016, Allison has worked with Jumpstart as both a Training and Support Specialist and a Site Manager, focusing on recruiting and training college students at the Catholic University of America to improve kindergarten readiness in low-income preschools in Washington, DC. As a co-founder of EdVario since 2017, Allison has developed a platform for educators to collaboratively share strategies for enhancing student success. Previous roles include Pre-K3 Lead Teacher at KIPP DC and Director of Youth Ministry at St. Peter's in the Woods Episcopal Church. Allison began their career as a Marketing Assistant at Great Escape Publishing in 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University and a Bachelor's Degree in French Foreign Language from George Mason University.
