Margaretha van Egmond

Margaretha van Egmond is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate law and governance. Currently serving as Legal Director and Corporate Secretary at JTI (Japan Tobacco International) since November 2015, Margaretha advanced from the role of Legal Manager within the same organization. Prior to JTI, Margaretha worked at Intertrust Group as a (Senior) Company Lawyer from July 2011 to October 2015, managing a portfolio of client companies to ensure compliance with legal standards in international business structuring. Margaretha's earlier experience includes positions as a lawyer at ScheerSanders Advocaten and Eversheds Faasen, focusing on contract law and corporate law. Margaretha holds a Master of Laws in Corporate Law and Criminal Law from Leiden University and attended INSEAD for further education in 2021.
