Thamer Aldhafeeri

Thamer AlDhafeeri is the Chairman of the Chemical Engineering Department at Jubail Industrial College, overseeing 56 academic and non-academic staff since September 2022. Responsibilities include managing regular and special programs in industrial chemistry, chemical engineering, and polymer technology while ensuring compliance with academic standards. Previously, Thamer served as Vice Chairman and Polymer Program Director at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu from April 2015 to September 2022, and as a Polymer Engineering Instructor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from December 2019 to August 2022. Additional experience includes a role as an Associate Researcher at National Oilwell Varco and as a Field Engineer. Thamer earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor's degree in Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
