Anil Deshpande

Anil Deshpande is an accomplished professional in the field of medicinal chemistry, currently serving as Director at Jubilant Biosys Limited since February 2022. Previously, Anil held senior positions including Senior Lead Investigator and Lead Investigator at Syngene International Limited, and Section Head at Eurofins Advinus Ltd. Anil’s extensive experience spans roles as Group Leader, Principal Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Associate, contributing significantly to collaborative programs in areas such as anti-inflammatory therapeutics and neglected diseases. Notable achievements include the rapid development of a clinical candidate for Takeda and leading a successful program for Leishmaniasis. Anil obtained a Ph.D. in Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry from the National Chemical Laboratory and holds degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacy.
