Vijayaraj Kuniyil Kulangara

Vijayaraj Kuniyil Kulangara has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Vijayaraj started their career in 1999 as a Group Leader in Organic Synthesis at Strides Research and Specialty Chemicals division. During their time at Strides, they successfully completed over 50 projects and contributed to the transfer of products to pilot plants and commercial scale.

In 2006, Vijayaraj joined GE Healthcare as a Lead Scientist, specializing in the design and synthesis of Molecular imaging agents and contrast agents used in cancer diagnosis and treatment monitoring. Vijayaraj also completed short-term assignments in GE Healthcare branches in Norway and the UK.

In 2011, Vijayaraj joined Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd. as a Senior Research Scientist, where they were responsible for establishing and leading the Jubilant DraxImage India R&D team. Vijayaraj played a crucial role in the technology transfer of diagnostic products from DraxImage Montreal R&D to the commercial plant in India, providing technical support to the sales team.

In 2013, Vijayaraj moved on to Anthem Biosciences Private Limited as a Senior Scientific Manager, leading the in-house product development team. Vijayaraj focused on new product development, process optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer of APIs and Nutraceutical ingredients.

From 2015 to 2016, Vijayaraj worked as the Technical Director - Research and Product Innovation at Esente Healthcare Pvt Ltd, overseeing product development in radiopharmaceuticals, infection control products, and radioactive decontamination products. Vijayaraj also implemented radiolabeling technology in nuclear medicine facilities across India.

In 2016, Vijayaraj joined Jubilant Radiopharma as a Manager, later progressing to Senior Manager and currently serving as an Associate Director in Research and Development. Vijayaraj has filled various roles, such as leading the DraxImage Product Development Team, supporting life cycle management of commercial products, participating in IP due diligence, and supporting technology transfer and regulatory filing.

Throughout their career, Vijayaraj has been involved in patent filings and publications that demonstrate their expertise and contributions to the field.

Vijayaraj Kuniyil Kulangara obtained their PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Mangalore University between 2002 and 2007. Prior to that, they completed their MTech in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka from 1998 to 2000. Vijayaraj also earned an MPhil in Organic Chemistry from the University of Calicut, which they pursued from 1996 to 1998. Vijayaraj'seducational background includes a previous degree of MSc in Chemistry (Natural Products Specialization) from the University of Calicut, completed in 1995. In addition to their degrees, they have received various certifications, including Project Management and Leadership training.
