Lisa Lorraine is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in education, advocacy, and leadership. As the Commissioner for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Commission at Montgomery County Government since September 2023, Lisa focuses on enhancing access to services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In their role as Breaking Barriers Senior Manager at The Jubilee Association of Maryland since February 2021, Lisa addresses systemic inequities by increasing service access for adults of Hispanic and Asian descent. Additionally, Lisa serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Direct Support for Immigrants, supporting immigrant families. Previous positions include Chief of Staff at the National Organization for Women and various teaching roles in middle schools. Lisa holds an M.S. in Middle School Special & General Education from Bank Street College of Education and a B.A. in Political Science from Lewis & Clark College.
