John Mitola

CEO & Director at Juhl Clean Energy Assets

John Mitola is the current CEO and Director of Juhl Clean Energy Assets. Prior to this, they served as Chairman of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority from May 2003 to August 2009. During their chairmanship, the Tollway started and completed a $6.3 billion redevelopment of the system, which included the addition of the new 355 extension linking Will County to the western suburbs of Chicago. The authority enjoyed its highest bond ratings in its history during this time.

Before their work with the Tollway, John was VP and General Manager at Exelon from January 1989 to December 2000.

John Mitola graduated from De La Salle High School. John then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they attended DePaul University College of Law, where they earned their JD.
