Viral Shah

Viral Shah is a highly experienced professional who has worked in various roles throughout their career. Viral co-founded JuliaHub in 2015, where they served as the CEO. JuliaHub is a platform that helps technical users accelerate the development and deployment of Julia programs. Additionally, they played a crucial role in the creation of Julia, a high-level open-source language for numerical computing, as a co-creator at The Julia Language, starting in 2009. Prior to these ventures, Viral Shah was a co-author for "Rebooting India" in 2013, and they worked as a Manager (Financial Inclusion) at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) from 2010 to 2012. Viral also served as a Senior Scientist at Interactive Supercomputing from 2007 to 2009. Viral Shah pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from PVPPCOE | Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil College of Engineering from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they enrolled at UC Santa Barbara and completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from 2001 to 2007.
