Roman Frey has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Roman started their career at the University of St. Gallen, Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant from February 2009 to May 2012. Roman then joined UBS as a Quantitative Analyst - Stress Methodology from June 2012 to October 2016. Currently, Roman is working at Julius Baer, where they have held multiple roles. Roman started as an Executive Director, Strategist/Quantitative Analyst - Fixed Income Investment Management from November 2016 to January 2020. Roman then became the Executive Director and Deputy Head of Fixed Income Investment Management from January 2020 to March 2022. Currently, Roman holds the position of Head of Fixed Income Investment Management at Julius Baer, starting from April 2022.

Roman Frey pursued their higher education at the University of St.Gallen. From 2006 to 2008, they completed their Master's degree in Banking and Finance. Following that, they went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance, studying from 2009 to 2012 at the same institution.
