Rick Pionkowski, MD MS

Rick Pionkowski, MD MS has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Rick is currently serving as the CMIO and Co-Founder at Julota, a company that aims to proactively address social determinants of health and other issues through a unique and innovative approach to community networks. Prior to their current role, Rick was the CEO and Founder of TouchPhrase Development, LLC from 2010 to 2019. Rick also served as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Front Range Emergency Specialists from 1994 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine from 1985 to 1994. Rick's career started as an Independent Emergency Medicine Physician in 1984.

Rick Pionkowski, MD MS completed their education at two prestigious institutions. From 1976 to 1980, they attended the University of Iowa, where they obtained a MD degree in Medicine. Following this, from 1985 to 1988, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. These educational experiences provided him with a solid foundation in both medicine and computer science.
