Bo Smith, QKA® has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. From 2009 to present, Bo has been employed at July Business Services as a Client Relationship Manager/Client Service Manager, where they are responsible for building strong relationships with clients and advisers, responding to plan sponsors and advisers questions related to all aspects of their retirement plan, and proactively requesting information and alerting clients to plan operational and compliance matters. Prior to this, Bo worked at Citi from 2002 to 2009 as a Branch Manager, responsible for bottom line growth of Branch quarter on quarter / year on year, managing and controlling P&L / expense activities, and leading and monitoring collection activities to reduce loses. Bo also worked at Prudential Financial as an Insurance Agent from 2001 to 2002, at Clarion Inn & Suites as a Corporate Sales Manager from 2000 to 2001, and at HEB as a Service Director from 1992 to 2000.
Bo Smith, QKA® holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business/Corporate Communications from Baylor University, which they obtained between 2000 and 2002. Bo also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from McLennan Community College, which they obtained between 1987 and 1989. In 2017, they obtained a Life and Health Agent certification from the Texas Department of Insurance. In 2014, they obtained a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) certification from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Bo is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration - MPA at Grand Canyon University, which they are expected to obtain between 2019 and 2021.
