MacIej Szmulka

Maciej Szmulka started their work experience as a Financial Controller at Haldex in 2001. Maciej then worked as an IT Consultant as a freelancer from 1997 to 2003. After that, they became a Financial Controller at Dospel from 2003 to 2005. Maciej then served as the Managing Director at Gemini LTD from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a Freelance UX Designer, User Researcher, and Project Manager at MagicArtWork. Following that, they worked at KaDuDu as a Freelance UX Designer, User Researcher, and Project Manager from 2012 to 2016. Maciej then worked at the UK National Audit Office as a UX Designer, User Researcher, Intranet/Web Analyst, and Developer from 2014 to 2016. After that, they became a Senior User Researcher at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency from 2016 to 2018. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Head of User Centred Design at the Crown Commercial Service. Currently, they are the Head of User Centred Design at Jumar.

Maciej Szmulka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Foreign Languages and Economics in Częstochowa, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended the Secondary Comprehensive School named after M. Kopernik in Częstochowa from 1991 to 1995, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. In addition to their formal education, Szmulka has obtained certifications such as the IBUQ® Certified Professional for Usability Engineering, Foundation Level from the International Board for Usability Qualification (IBUQ) in June 2015, and the Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2013.
