Marco de Vriend

Marco de Vriend is an experienced professional in the maritime industry, currently serving as Regional Commercial Manager and Manager Chartering & Projects at Jumbo Maritime since January 2018. Previously, Marco held the position of Chartering Manager & Head of Office at Nova Marine Carriers Rotterdam from December 2014 to September 2017 and worked as a Senior Chartering Broker at Flinter Shipping BV for a brief period in 2014. A notable career break was taken for a year of travel in South America with family. Marco's extensive experience also includes long tenures as Senior Chartering Broker at Flinter Shipping from 2001 to 2013, Chartering Manager at Genchart BV, and various chartering roles dating back to 1992. Marco holds a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Economics from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and a BSc in Shipping Economics and Chartering from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, complemented by a project management course.
