Viju Varma

Viju Varma has over 26 years of techno-functional experience in the airline, hospitality, revenue management, e-commerce, and fintech industries. Viju started their career as a Chief Engineering Officer in the Indian Air Force, where they worked on software projects and indigenization efforts. Viju then joined IBS Software as an IT Product Manager and later became a Senior Programme Manager. Viju then moved to Emirates Airline, where they held various senior leadership positions, including Head of E-Commerce, Mobile, and Ancillary Systems & Operations. At Emirates, they were responsible for managing a diverse team and implementing innovative technology solutions to drive online sales and revenue growth. After leaving Emirates, Viju served as the Chief Product Officer at CellPoint Digital, where they led the company's product strategy for travel merchants in the areas of e-commerce and digital payments. Currently, Viju is Vice President - IT Commercial Solutions at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, where they lead the technology divisions for commercial, revenue management, distribution, e-commerce, brand & marketing, and customer experience.

Viju Varma completed a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calicut from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General at the Indian Air force Technical College from 1994 to 1995.
