João Falcão

João Falcão is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in e-commerce and software development, currently serving as VP Technology and CTO at Jumia Group since 2014. João has successfully led local and remote development teams across Africa, ensuring high-quality software solutions and delivery rates for one of Africa's largest e-commerce platforms. Prior to this, João held roles including Head of Development and Release Manager, overseeing projects spanning multiple countries. Experience also includes a position as Senior Web Developer at Rocket Internet PT, where João contributed to major e-commerce platforms, and earlier roles at First Solutions, SA, and D-POINT, Comunicação e Design, Lda., providing comprehensive software solutions and project management. João holds a Licentiate degree in Informatic Engineering from Instituto Superior Politécnico de Gaya.
