Daniel Montealegre

Daniel Montealegre currently serves as the Head of Credit Research at Jump Trading LLC, a position held since January 2022, following a tenure at Citadel as a Quantitative Researcher Contributor during a garden leave period. Daniel's academic background includes a PhD in Mathematics from Yale University, where research focused on probabilistic combinatorics under the supervision of professor Van Vu, along with mentoring students in summer mathematics research. Previous research experiences include positions as a Visiting Researcher at the National University of Singapore and as an Undergraduate Researcher at both San Diego State University and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Additionally, Daniel began a career in tutoring mathematics at Nicholas Academic Centers while pursuing a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics at UCLA.
