Gene Yeo

Gene Yeo is currently the Scientific Advisor at Jumpcode Genomics. Gene has over 20 years of experience in the biotech industry, including corporate and business development.

Yeo started their career as a post-doc at GNF (Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation) from January 2000 to December 2001. Gene then transitioned to Arena Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director of Discovery Biology from March 2001 to April 2009. In July 2009, they became the Director of Business Development at eBioscience, an Affymetrix company. Gene held this position until November 2014 when they became the Director of Corporate and Business Development at Illumina. Yeo left Illumina in May 2020 to join Jumpcode Genomics as their Scientific Advisor.

Gene Yeo received a BS in Biophysics from UC San Diego and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley.
