Mna Mary Paxton

Mary Paxton, MNA has a diverse range of work experience in the nonprofit sector. Mary is currently working as the Sr Director of Advancement at JumpStart Inc. since November 2021. In addition, Mary is serving as an Adjunct Faculty at John Carroll University, teaching graduates within the Nonprofit Administration Program since August 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Mary worked as the Director of Development at ACLU of Ohio from April 2019 to November 2021. Before that, they were the Director of Development at New Directions, Inc. from October 2018 to April 2019.

Mary also has experience working at Council for Health and Human Service Ministries as an Associate for Engagement and Executive Administration from January 2018 to October 2018. Mary worked as the Director, Office of Philanthropy and Stewardship at United Church of Christ from October 2015 to December 2017, and as an Associate Director, Campaigns, Appeals & Special Events at United Church of Christ from September 2014 to October 2015.

Furthermore, Mary has worked as the Director of Development at The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland Area Services from March 2014 to September 2014, and as the Director of Advancement at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School from January 2010 to March 2014.

In the early stages of their career, Mary served as the Assistant Program Director at E CITY from October 2007 to January 2010, where they managed and oversaw after-school and in-school programs for at-risk youth. Mary also worked as the Basic Needs Assistance Coordinator at Catholic Charities Health & Human Services from May 2006 to October 2007, managing pantry and hot-meal programs and processing TANF Emergency Assistance funds.

Mary Paxton, MNA has a well-rounded education history. Mary first attended Laurel School from 1985 to 1988, where they received a diploma in College Prep. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Allegheny College from 1988 to 1992. Mary furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Non-Profit Administration from John Carroll University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2010.
