Doug Edwards

CEO at Jumpstart Health Investors

Doug has been a business executive, entrepreneur, investor, and college professor with a great track record of success.

As CEO of Jumpstart Health Investors (JHI), Doug oversees the JHI business as well as Jumpstart Foundry.

Before joining Jumpstart, Doug served as Chief Administration Officer (CAO) at Narus Health, an innovative health services company based in Nashville. Doug played a key role from its infancy to growth and the subsequent sale of the company.

Throughout his business career, Doug has been a leader with disruptors in their respective industries. Most notably, he served as CAO with TN-based technology company, Video Gaming Technologies (VGT). Inc. Magazine, 2005, crowned VGT ‘the fastest-growing company in America.’ After joining, Doug contributed to VGT’s continued growth and scale, and a roaring $1.2B exit in 2014.

After the successful technology sale, Doug turned his talents to healthcare (Narus), community impact initiatives, as well as to the classroom. Doug has taught multiple business classes to some of the brightest young minds at Vanderbilt University. Doug is also a member of the board of The Refuge Center for Counseling and Showcase Baseball of TN.

Doug lives in Franklin, TN with his wife, Holly, and two sons, Sam and Ben. He has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BA from the University of Iowa. And in his spare time, you will find him coaching his sons, working outdoors, or fishing on the family farm in Iowa.
