Herman Van Der Vaart has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Herman started their career as a reserve officer in the Royal Dutch Army before transitioning to the food industry. Herman worked as a Food Technologist at Nutricia, Zoetermeer, and later became a Sales Manager at Hoek Loos, where they specialized in gas applications in the food and water treatment sectors. Herman then joined Tiense Suikerraffinaderij as a Sales Manager, responsible for liquid bulk syrups sales in the Netherlands and Germany. After that, Van Der Vaart worked as a Technical Manager at Bowltech International BV. Herman joined Jungbunzlauer in 2005 and held multiple positions, including Area Sales Manager Northern Europe, Managing Director/ Sales Director Northern Europe, and finally, Senior Business Manager Nordics/ Managing Director. In their current role at Jungbunzlauer since 2020, they serve as the Sr. Business Manager Benelux-Food, overseeing operations in the Benelux region.

Herman Van Der Vaart received their Bachelor of Science degree in Food Technology from HAS green academy, where they attended from 1978 to 1982.
