Astra Garner

Astra Garner serves as the Executive Director at the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri since April 2024. Previously, Astra held the position of Vice President of Culture and Strategic Growth at ReDiscover from June 2020 to October 2023, where leadership encompassed a team of over 20 members and involved strategic direction in talent acquisition, quality improvement, and community partnership development. Prior roles include Vice President at KVC Hospitals Inc., and President of Niles, a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, where Astra implemented turnaround strategies and streamlined operations. Earlier experience includes leadership roles in clinical services and program management, as well as positions in behavioral health care. Astra holds advanced degrees in Counseling & Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University, along with a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Villanova University.
