Nicole Martin is an experienced editorial professional with a focus on children's and young adult literature. Currently serving as an Assistant Editor and Editorial Assistant at Junior Library Guild since July 2021, Nicole reviews over 400 titles annually and provides critical feedback to ensure authentic representation in literature. Previous experience includes providing editorial feedback as a Reader at The Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency and working as a Children's Bookseller at Books Of Wonder, where Nicole demonstrated strong knowledge of the market and problem-solving skills. Nicole has also held multiple editorial internships at prestigious publishing companies, where responsibilities included evaluating manuscript submissions, developing acquisition strategies, and managing peer review processes. Educational qualifications include an MS in Publishing from New York University and a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
