Matt Lawson

CMO at Juniper Square

Matt Lawson is the current Chief Marketing Officer at Juniper Square. Prior to their current position, Lawson held various marketing positions at companies such as Google, Marin Software, SPOCK Networks, and Coremetrics.

Lawson began their career in marketing at Siebel Systems in 2002, before moving on to Coremetrics in 2003. Matt was promoted to Director of Product Marketing and Management in 2007, and left the company in 2009 to join SPOCK Networks as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

In 2009, Lawson joined Marin Software as Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships. Matt was part of the leadership team that established Marin as the market leading paid search platform, with ad spend under management of >$4 billion annually. Lawson grew revenues from ~$19M to ~$77M annual run-rate and delivered a successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2013.

In 2013, Lawson left Marin Software to join Google as Vice-President, Ads Marketing. Matt led marketing globally for Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Shopping-- products that account for >80% of company revenues. Lawson managed a team of 100+ professionals to deliver industry thought leadership, best practices, and product innovations to advertisers of all sizes.

Lawson left Google in 2020 to join Juniper Square as Chief Marketing Officer.

Matt Lawson has a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelors of Science in Engineering from Princeton University. Matt currently works in strategy and operations for a technology company.
