Barry Thornton

Barry Thornton is the current President at Junipero Serra High School. Barry has held this position since January 1996. Prior to that, they were the Dean of Studies at the school from January 1986 to December 1991. Barry also worked as an Assistant/Associate Planner for the City of Pacifica from January 1983 to December 1985. Barry Thornton began their career as an Urban Planner for the Government of Swaziland with the US Peace Corps from January 1983 to December 1985.

Barry Thornton's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Barry then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Patrick Seminary. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Education in Catholic Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
