David Freund

David Freund is a seasoned finance professional with extensive expertise in renewable energy and capital markets. Currently serving as Managing Director and President of Jupiter Renewables since January 2009, Freund has been pivotal in developing proprietary financing tools for wind farms. From June 2023 to May 2025, Freund held the position of Group Head at Baker Tilly US, where a national platform for structured renewable energy finance was established under leadership. Additionally, as Head of Capital Markets at Origis Energy from January 2022 to February 2024, Freund drove capital markets strategy amidst significant company expansion. Earlier experiences include co-owning WINDFARM FINANCE, LLC, and leadership roles at North Castle Capital Advisory, BNP Paribas, and MUFG. Freund holds a Master of International Affairs degree in International Banking and Finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
