Alan Welch

Alan Welch is an experienced media professional with a strong background in video production and cinematography. Currently serving as a Contributing Producer at A+E Networks since April 2018, Alan produces, shoots, and edits for the History Channel's "Defending Japan," executing on-location interviews and b-roll across Japan, Okinawa, and Guam. Concurrently, as a Producer, DP, and Editor at Jupiter Shop Channel Co., Ltd. since March 2016, Alan collaborates with the Tokyo headquarters to develop concepts for TV segment openers, along with scripting and storyboarding. Previous roles include Contributing Producer for E! Networks from March 2018 to June 2020, Senior Video Producer at BMEDIA K.K. from July 2013 to July 2019, and Director of Photography for International Eiga in March 2016. Alan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 2000.
