Tim Layton has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. From 1995 to 1996, they worked in various temporary roles. In 1996, they joined NCR Corporation as a Call Planner/Assistant Telephone Administrator, responsible for scheduling engineer visits and administering the telephone system. Tim then transitioned into a technical role as Helpdesk & IMAC Technical Support and Development, where they produced ad-hoc reports for management and organized installations, moves, additions, and changes for large retail customers. From 2004 to 2008, Tim worked as a Software Engineer in the MSS Team at NCR, developing the VB6/IIS/ASP/SQL Server Helpdesk application and creating an ETL system for the telephony reporting application. From 2008 to 2014, they served as a Software Engineer in the GEMS Team, involved in data migration, grooming, and business analysis for NCR's BMC Remedy ARS Oracle application.

In 2015, Tim joined Juriba as a Technical Consultant, providing expertise in implementing software solutions. Tim was promoted to Senior Technical Consultant in 2019 and then to Senior Database Developer in August 2021.

Tim Layton attended the University of Leeds from 1992 to 1995, where they pursued a degree in Mathematical Studies with a focus on Mathematics.
